Bullying Antics (Help depression)

Learn how I beat Depression

Long ago I worried for the life of a school friend, we were kids there were bullies, life was tough. The bullying he received was pretty harsh, it was constant and the guys who did it were too big to take on, so I told. I told I was worried about what he might do because I knew if it was me what I would have done.

I’d been bullied too girls, boys, when you paint yourself into a corner and fail to defend, it too can incite, ignoring does not make the problem go away. I told, there was action, and it stopped for a while, the dean came down and listened at the door of the showers, and heard the abuse as it reigned from all angles. I cried for help, depression was averted as that help came. He was still upset though, you could still hear the muffled cries every once in a while coming from his cubicle, as the rest of the boys slept or ate crisps or did whatever else that boys do.

It is almost two decades on and that boy is now a man, and a fine man at that. He had growth struggles, underdeveloped for his age, the bullies will find anything to get at you, and his ‘get at points’ were just too obvious to ignore. ‘Slagging’ came from all quarters, but later he caught up. Was he deserving of abuse and punishment because he had been punished with bad genes? Of course not, but there is little balance and harmony in a world that allows the bullies to win out. Hitler stated in his best seller ‘My Struggle’ that humility and morality was the invention of the Jewish people, because they were weak and they needed something created that would deter the strong. In nature itself we see cruelty, we see large cats toying with their food, we see animals too young to survive alone left to their own devices, we see bullying of ‘screw’ (genetically inferior) cattle in our fields harassed and kicked pushed around, not allowed to be a part of the herd.

The results of all of this although it is difficult to access depression in animals (I have a friend who is a dog whisperer, and he claims that indeed dogs do tell him they are depressed) is that depression comes about just like it does in human kind. What can best help depression statistics is if we allow ourselves a little of that humility and morality that Hitler asserted was a negative thing. To display an alliance with our fellow man, a fellow man whose struggles too, whose very fears are the same as our own. We are dependant on those around us at every turn of every corner, even in your home right now you are depending on the morality of human nature not to force entry and do untold harm to you and your family.

Without morality and a care for others society would be dictated by these bullying antics and we would worse off as a result. Things are not perfect in everyday life, adults bully too and it leads to countless sick days when the taker is too depressed to come from under the duvet, their safety zone. But it is in the apparent safety zone of our own minds where depression help is needed, it is in this zone where the damage done rots away and tells we are what the bullies say we are.
