A Bipolar Case Study Can Help Discover Causes and Treatments

Learn how I beat Depression

Bipolar disorder is an irregular, abrupt, extreme change in moods from the agony or euphoria of a manic, intense, emotional high to a debilitating, devastating bipolar depression, which can occur separately, sporadically or simultaneously.  By conducting a bipolar case study on patients, they are working on finding new effective treatments that can deal with these problems. Over the last few decades, scientists have produced excellent advancements in identifying bipolar causes and treatments although the exact reasons still remain a mystery.

Some patients with bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, will volunteer in a bipolar case study and receive psychosocial therapy and/or medication free of cost.  The bipolar case study may involve systematically and thoroughly investigating bipolar illness, causes and treatment in humans.  Some of the information conceded by these studies includes the power or capacity to develop medications that produce the desired affect and types of therapy and behavioural intervention that are the most useful.

Once diagnosed with bipolar disorder, three important drugs used in treating this condition include antidepressants, mood stabilizers and antipsychotic medications.  Some patients are now using herbal supplements as an alternative treatment instead of prescription medication.  Most people mistakenly believe an herbal supplement must be healthier for them than drugs but that is not always true.  Some herbs can actually make bipolar disorder worse or create a harmful reaction if used with certain medications.

In a bipolar case study for alternative treatments, some results showed that in certain fish and fish oils, the omega 3 proteins were excellent for bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses.  In an important placebo-controlled bipolar case study of thirty patients comparing placebos, olive oil and omega 3, studies showed that the patients taking omega 3 proteins had lengthier remissions and performed better.  Researchers will continue further bipolar case study treatments to look for new psychotropic compound forms suitable for mood stabilizers.  Never start on herbal supplements, omega 3 proteins or any other alternative treatments without discussing them with your doctor first.

As part of self-help therapy, many patients with bipolar disorder find getting involved in community activities along with psychotherapy meaningful because it provides them with fellowship opportunities and social support. Often a bipolar patient’s therapist or doctor can provide him or her with information and a referral to a therapy group or a one-on-one support.

    Hi

I’m not sure i’m contacting the right people, but I need to find real help for my partner. He is bipolar and has suffered from this since his teens. He’s now 38 and has been on anti D’s for years, the doctors just keep on giving him the prescriptions and dont seem to try and dig deeper. This condition is ruining our relationship, life and most importantly his life.
He is very aware and open to help but we cannot seem to find a way to go about this. We have self help books and he can totally relate to them, but what he really wants and needs is someone who can actually help him. Not just going to counselling to talk for an hour a week. This is far beyond simple counselling.
I have come onto this website in the hope you can direct me to somewhere/one who can offer a far more intense sort of therapy. I’m so frigthened he will kill himself and I know he cannot continue like this for much longer. He would make the perfect case study!!! and even says so himself. As i said, he’s not like most men who cannot even admit they have a problem. He’s well aware and really wants help but the right sort, he has been put off in the past by counselling as he felt this didn’t really help.
If there is anythig you can suggest then please contact me. I love him so much and am so worried he will end up going through this mental torture for the rest of his life if he doesn’t get help.

I suffer from an extream case of bipolar disorder. I belive that it is classified as type 1, or 2. Anyhow, that’s not important! What is important is that even though I have this problem, I am still very capable of being a productive person. I work at the local hospital as a CNA, and I working towards my RN degree. I have been bipolar all my life; however, the symptoms have gotten worse with age. I am 33 year old male, and I only learned that I was without dought bipolar as they get! Anyhow, Lithium Carbonate and Seroguel have become my best friend
